Ebony turned to the man who spoke and she sighed tucking a very thick lock of hair behind her ear. She tugged along the glimmering suit case behind her as she strolled over to him. Ebony was quite confident when meeting new people- people fascinated her. "Yeah, I was doing research over at the museum in the city." Then she smirked, and raised an eyebrow. "You're up quite late" she observed, a slight playful mimic of his accent in her tone.

Marcel nodded, "Of course, Miss," he said, quickly filling in the correct papers and handing her the waiver to sign. "Here are your keys, will you need help with your bag?" As Ebony replied in the negative,Marcel wished her welcome and soon retired to his room. Within a few minutes, he was asleep. Constantin and Ebony were left alone.
Constantin, seeing Ebony looking back at him, looked back at her. He wasn't particularly brilliant at making conversation. Perhaps he'd spent too much time alone to know what to say to strangers. Still, he sat up. "You're arriving quite late," he said. She looked quite delicious, but he did not want to risk feeding on her here. Luna had warned him about security cameras.

Ebony raised an eye brow at the individual, then shrugged. Least he was polite, great hair too. Ebony suddenly whirled around and greeted the clerk with a smile and flicked a lock of onyx hair over her shoulder. "Yes! Ebony... I made a reservation yester...day?" She asked, glancing at the book, then back at the clerk. "Sorry it's so late, I've had a very busy day... Ebony Cantatio, double bed, single room... I asked for the balcony?"
Ebony glanced over her shoulder at the man in the chair.

Marcel sat up in bed. Was that the bell? He stumbled out, throwing his uniform on quickly. A glance in the mirror to fix his hair and he was readyfor the customer.
Constantin lifted his head, though his eyes were still shaded by his long hair. He didn't show his eyes to anyone unless he was charming them, then again unlike Luna Constantin didn't wear contacts. "Hello," he said with a little smirk, just as Marcel walked in. "Sorry for the wait," he said apologetically. Marcel had gotten used to waking up at odd hours. "Would you like a room?" he smiled, taking out the reservation book. There were two single rooms available, rooms 17 and 36. Constantin had sat back down as Marcel came into the room.

Ebony pulled up the suitcase next to her and reached over the empty lobby desk, like a child, to ring the brass bell to the right of the counter top. Ebony almost had everything going for her. Her breasts could be a bigger and her hips could be wider, but over all her appearance was hindered by her height. Ebony was about 5.2, with little feet. She sighed and tapped her nails on the counter then rang the bell again. "Hello?" She called.
Ebony turned and leaned against the counter top, suddenly noticing a man sitting in a recliner at the entrance of the the public lounge. She grinned, he was cute, but looked tired. "Hello there" she said brightly.

Constantin wandered into the empty lobby. They'd gotten settled into their room, and had already sealed up the windows so no sunlight could get in. Perhaps the most irritating thing about living here would be that they were going to have to be confined to their rooms whenever the sun was up. Though the two were planning on charming the hotel staff to keep the windows shut, you could never be sure. Fortunately the place seemed empty enough, Constantin would go mad if the hotel were filled with screaming children. He leaned back in the chair. Perhaps today he would go to feed.. the tea tray woman was cute, but he wanted to play with her a bit more.
Just then, the door opened near him. Constantin glanced at the woman who came in; long black hair, good figure.. very short. She looked delicious, even if she was carrying what must have been the silliest suitcase Constantin had seen. Constantin was careful not to make eye contact as the woman walked in, waiting to see what she would do. He wasn't starving, he could play with his dinner a bit.

Janine let out a tiny whimper. "Oh", her eyes glued the the couple as they moved away. Janine felt a hand clap into her shoulder and she yelped. "Janine... you... are... excused" Murmured Marcel, with a frown deepening on his face.

Ebony's taxi pulled up in front of 'Sunny Skies Hotel' at 10:33pm. She slipped out of the back seat. It was a warm summer night, and Ebony was wearing a light blue cotton dress with a key hole cut in the chest along with some black wedge sandals. She was returning from a archaeological study trip at the museum two cities over from where she lived, and she had advance booked this hotel to ease the journey. Besides Ebony's eyes, she appears almost perfectly human - beating heart, warm, but chalky pale skin. However she had a pair of eyes that were completely black, at night they weren't too obvious and by day Ebony didn't keep contact with anyone long enough to notice. She skipped up the ramp, rolling an uncharacteristically pearly gold suitcase with pink roses adorned on it (it was her sisters, Ebony had nothing big enough for journey like this) and stepped into the lobby.

Constantin handed her the box, catching her eyes for just a moment. He could almost hear her pulse start to pound. "It's alright" he said. He had a noticeable accent, though it was impossible to tell just where he was from. Then he left her, walking over to Luna. The clerk was of no interest to Constantin, and he could see that Luna had claimed him. Luna smiled at the doorman,handing him her bag. The two did not own much, it would be inconvenient to carry when they moved around quite a bit. "Thank you Marcel," she said to the clerk, reading his nametag. She followed the doorman to the elevator, Constantin trailing after her with one last glance out the corner of his eye at Janine. She looked quite tasty...

Marcel's hand shook as he scribbled into the page, filled in the date. He smiled, his brown thin mustache curling like crape paper as he shook the woman's hand. "Thank you Miss Crawford, if you require anything else to make your stay more comfortable, do not hesitate to ask!" He exclaimed, as his other hand slammed down on the brass desk bell and a door man suddenly flashed out of no where. He was young, 20 maybe, with dark hair and tan skin. "Room 16" Marcel said, handing a card to the youth who began to load the mysterious pair's things onto a cart.
Janine's eyes flew wide open and gasped as she reached for the tea box. "Oh... my apologies sir... I am so sorry... how clumsy of me..." she exclaimed in a hushed, rich Scandinavian stutter, clutching her fingers tight around the tea box.
"Janine!" Marcel exclaimed, eyes flaming, cheeks pink. "You are excused", he glanced over at the woman, and then to her brother. "My apologies, Janine is from Sweden"

Luna shook her head. "No, two doubles" she said with a smile. Her brother needed his space, and so did Luna. Plus, she thought as she noticed the woman behind her glancing at Constantin, he would probably be bringing his... 'guests' over. "Rose Crawford," Luna said, using her original last name and the nickname her father had used for her. There was no risk in it now, Luna had been "dead" for over a century. She showed him her fake ID, then watched the man write her name down. "I will pay for my brother as well," she added, not failing to notice how the clerk brightened at that comment. She smiled at him, then turned back to look at her brother. Every movement of Luna's was elegant, her mother had taught her to act like a lady and that lesson had not been forgotten. She signed her name on the slip of paper Marcel handed to her. Her brother could not read, a fact he did not like revealed. Of course, he had also not allowed Luna to teach him.
Constantin saw the woman walk into the lobby and felt her eyes travel from Luna to him. He watched her out of the corner of his eye, seeing as she rolled the cart near him. Suddenly, she hit a snag in the carpet, the box of tea falling to the ground and rolling over near Constantin's feet. He picked it up and handed it to the woman, a little smirk on his lips.

Marcel's lower jaw trembled a little, before nodding hastily. "Certainly Miss!" He exclaimed, with a little too much enthusiasm as he flipped open a long, crimson leather note pad and hovered a fountain pen over smooth paper. "Would that be a double or...?".
Janine, a fair skinned slight girl with scarlet curls tucked into a ponytail above her head arrived into the lobby pushing along a tea dolly cart, glanced over at the reception briefly at the new guests. The woman was tall, legs that obviously one of her strong points and a veil of thick ravens hair that cascaded down her back. The man, on the other hand, was slender, yet still obviously muscular, with a sharp jaw and and thick locks of hair that matched the woman's. Perhaps they were siblings? But the man's eyes...
Ebony climbed into the taxi, waving goodbye the the museum tour guide and the flicking her charcoal hair over her shoulder and rest her hands in her laps with a sigh. She closed her eyes.

The sun had set a few hours ago when the two walked into the motel's lobby. The woman, taller than her companion in her heels, walked up to the front desk as her brother hung back, not wanting to talk to anybody. A patron, walking by gave him a wide berth.
Luna walked up to the desk, pulling off her sunglasses to reveal dark brown eyes. "Hello," she said, smiling at the clerk who immediately drew himself up when she approached. "We'd like to boom a room..."
Constantin, at the back, watched Luna converse with the clerk. Of course some coven of idiotic slayers had discovered their home. Though Constantin had taken care of them, Luna had not felt safe staying at their apartment. He knew she had a point. Had the coven told anyone else the location of the apartment, they would have been constantly attacked. Still.. he grumbled to himself. It was not pleasant to have to stay in a motel. And with human guests!
