Constantin still watched her, really wishing he could do something. He had half a mind to call Luna* but somehow he also wanted to do this himself. "She was just frightened.." he murmured,staring at her with wide eyes. "You..you don't need to worry.." he wished he knew what to say to her. Luna would know, he was sure she could fix this. "It was just an accident." he continued,seeing he wasn't helping much.

In a blurring haze, they arrived in the vampire's room that reeked with the way he smelt. Absolutely mouthwatering. It only made Ebony want to cry more. But she could see that comforting people wasn't exactly the vampire's forte, she she just leaned forward, cupped her face in her hands and continued to cry. "Constantin..." She whimpered. "Why does everyone keep trying to kill me?!"

Constantin looked around the room. "oh." he just said, turning back as he heard her sniff. She was starting to cry.. In a bit of a panic as to what to do,Constantin just looked at her for a moment. "perhaps.. we ought to go.." he suggested, then, before she could even respond, took hold of Ebony's arm and the two vanished,suddenly appearing in his room. He would take care of the woman. But, after quickly contacting her and explaining the situation, Luna went to Ebony's room, closed the door and hung a "do not disturb" sign on the door. She also took the maid, laying her in Ebony's bed. It seemed horribly disrespectful to the woman, but there was nothing else she could do. Luna just hoped that nobody would notice.
Constantin pulled Ebony over to the bed, then sat next to her, almost touching her arm. "It wasn't your fault.." he murmured, thinking she was upset about the woman's death.

Ebony gripped her hands into her hair into hair suddenly letting out a yelp of a scream as she listening the crunch of the woman's neck. She stared at the body on the floor, panting frantically. "Uhh... she saw all the blood and... um..." She raked her fingers through her hair again. "She said she knew what we were and then got the steak knife from that draw and uh... tried to..." Ebony's voice broke. "Kill me" Tears welled in her eyes. She wasn't concerned about the loss of the woman this time, Ebony was starting to loose it.

Constantin was now flopped out on the soft chair in the corner of his room. He always hated daytime. Not only was it depressing, it was boring as hell. He could barely leave his room...Constantin was just about to settle back down when he heard Ebony's scream. In a split second, he appeared between Ebony and the maid, catching her just before she was able to plunge the knife into him. Before the maid could even react, she was dead, her neck broken. Constantin turned from her to Ebony. "What in the hell happened?" he asked her.

Ebony rubbed her eyes and the grinned. "Hey" She said, rolling her shoulders and then climbing out of the bed. "Did you have a good night?" She asked. she and Luna talked a little more about the night before, and then Ebony left the room and disappeared to her room to gather up some clothes for the day. As she reached the room, she felt something was a little off. She raised an eyebrow. Someone was in her room. A cleaner? Ebony shrugged. That was fine. Ebony slipped her card key in, and stepped inside, and as she did, she recalled the large amounts of blood that had been smeared around the day before. Ebony's gaze flashed over to the doorway of the bathroom to find a women, tall, stocky, maybe mid 30's with wild curly dark hair. She looked utterly shock, and terrified Ebony's eyes widened. "No miss, it's just a misunderstanding" She began, her words coming out in a rush. The women knew the blood wasn't fresh and that Ebony was hiding something and as Ebony took a step closer, suddenly, the maid darted to the kitchenette, yanked open a drawer and pulled out a steak knife "Miss. Please, it was just an accident, really"
The maid shook her head. "And what will you do, kill me too so I'm an accident?" She asked. "Come on, three attractive people who need dark rooms in the day, and don't sleep at night?" she narrowed her eyes. "I know what you are!"
Ebony was beginning to hyperventilate, she searched around the room for something, anything. But this was human. She didn't kill humans.
The maid suddenly lunged and Ebony.
[Constantin!] Ebony screamed, showing the image in her mind.

Luna was awake, sitting and reading one of the free magazines in the room. She was a bit annoyed, there were three books in the lower dresser drawer, unfortunately some idiot had placed a Bible over them, which Luna could not touch. Fortunately, out of sight as it was, Luna was not bothered by it, and apparently, neither was Ebony. She'd noticed Ebony almost crying at some moment and had considered waking the woman. Still, perhaps it was best to let Ebony sleep. She glanced back down at the magazine, annoyed. [Who prints this crap?] she thought to herself,laying down the latest issue of *insert celebrity gossip magazine here*
Ebony woke and looked around her. "Good morning" Luna said softly, smiling at the demoness.

Ebony laughed along with Luna. It was so bizarre, like talking to an interactive move that was set a hundred years ago. The two of them talked a little while longer until Ebony grew very tired. She couldn't even remember when she fell asleep. Her dreams were twisted, interesting, swirling images of vampires and dead bodies. Once or twice she'd wake crying. Justin's face often. Whether it was really him or it was her subconscious making her guilty, she wasn't sure. Spirits had a knack for making contact through her sleep.
The next morning Ebony woke to find herself curled into a tiny fetus, spooning the pillow with her hair tangling around her face. She sat up.

Luna shrugged, "well, it was a fairly easy life I guess. I didn't have to work...then again, women rarely had jobs anyway." Her mother, though she had been a respectable woman, had always been somewhat of a suffragette. As a child,Luna had been in awe of her mother. She grinned, "And I can't lie, the balls were very nice." Luna had always liked fancy evens where one could dress up nice and dance. "Worst? Everything was so formal. There were rules about everything. How to behave, what sort of clothes you could wear and what you could do.. My mother would have been shocked to see me jumping around in a fountain." Luna couldn't help but laugh at that.
Constantin lay on his bed. He could hear soft laughter coming from Luna's room. He knew Ebony was there. There was a small, nagging part of him that almost wanted to join them. What the hell was wrong with him? Constantin glared at the ceiling. All of a sudden he felt something cold against his neck. Right.. the silly glowstick Ebony had given him. Constantin pulled it off, about to cast it aside when he paused. Nobody had ever given him a gift before. (Of course, Luna had dragged him out to buy clothes occasionally, but this was different. Constantin flopped back down,groaning in annoyance. [damned irritating woman..] he muttered under his breath.

Ebony raised her eyebrows. "Oh you were a Lady?" She asked in surprise. Here she was just assuming Luna was raised in a wealthy household... but a Lady? Ebony rolled onto her side and popped her face up on her chin. "What's the best and worst part about being a lady?" She asked.
Ebony couldn't help but wonder about the dark vampire sulking in his room. It was like overdue homework. Or a need to pee. Always nagging, and irritating. She frowned.

Luna frowned, "Oh.. I see.." she said, risking a glance at Ebony. But she didn't seem upset in the least. She supposed it wasn't a terrible fate, after all. But Luna laughed at the next. "You've certainly had practice," she grinned, remembering the madness she and her younger sister had put her brother through. "It's a little sister's job to be evil, isn't it?"
"Well.." Luna shrugged, "A Lady doesn't have sleepovers," she said, laughing a little. "I guess it just wasn't a thing people did back then, socialization was so formal." she trailed off. Luna had always enjoyed visiting, but she did remember how awful it had felt as a child, to be forced to listen to adults talk while not being allowed to speak. But of course she'd had friends. Still, it was nice to just be allowed to act silly and stupid in public.

Ebony grinned. "I have to be cheerful" She explained,taking a piece of her hair and toying with it in her fingers. "I get one human life... that's it. And then that's it. There's no after life for me, no heaven or hell... no eternity. The end." She didn't sound upset. Not even disappointed. "So I have to be cheerful before my time runs out". Ebony's brows then knitted together. "Haven't we all?" She asked. Hadn't they all. Ebony thin grinned an evil smile. "I have six siblings, teasing and getting away with it is an art form, that and I've been taught how to be harmless" She winked.
Ebony reached over and fluffed her pillow. "Never had... a sleep over?" She rolled over. "What were they doing a hundred years ago?" She asked in horror.

Luna smiled, "Thank you." she said, and meant it. Then suddenly laughed. "Twenty years of my mother and governess telling me to behave aren't forgotten quite so easily." Luna had been taught to always behave with grace and kindness. Perhaps it had always been her nature. She turned her head towards Ebony, and smiled. "You're probably one of the most cheerful people I've met." she said. "It's nice" Especially given what she was used to. "He's not so bad." Luna added, quick to defend her brother. "He's just been through.. things.." Luna trailed off. Constatin would kill her if she ever said anything. Luna turned and smiled at Ebony. "You're one of the first people who's gotten away with teasing him, you're got some skills" she laughed. She snuggled back into the covers. It was a very comfortable bed. "You know, I don't think I've had a sleepover...well, ever." she said thoughtfully.

Ebony pursed her lips together. He was sulking? Why? He wasn't supposed to care. Ebony rolled her eyes as the two of the them continued up to Luna's room. After Ebony had gotten dressed into a grey two piece pajama set, the two of them lay on Luna's bed, facing towards the ceiling. Ebony closed her eyes. "You two are so different" She observed. Luna was so open, polite and caring. Constantin was... crazy. "I mean I get the whole dark vampire stereotype - but you're nothing like that. You're lovely" Ebony turned her face to the side and smiled at Luna.

Luna nodded, "Let's go get your clothes, then" she said, making an effort to be cheerful. She could see that Ebony needed it. "Of course you can stay in my room" she said. She didn't mind a sleepover at all! There were still several hours util dawn, that was good. She'd have to check to make sure he was in his room on time, however. With Constantin,you never knew. And sometimes he lost track of time.
The two of them went and collected Ebony's clothes, and then went up to Luna's room. As they passed Constantin's door, Luna paused by it and knocked softly. "What do you want?" a voice said from inside. Luna sighed, great, he was in one of his moods again. "Just letting you know we came back." she called back, and she and Ebony went into Luna's room.

Ebony nodded. "Yeah, I'll just find some..." She said. Something... different from the last bed shirt that was covered in blood. Ebony pressed her lips together and glanced at her watch. "Four, I think, maybe five" She said. Part of her wanted Constantin to burn to crisp under that flaming ball of light. Another part of her wanted to curl up next to him and bawl her eyes out. Another part wanted to do unspeakable things to him. The good kind. "Hey... Luna, do you think I could stay in your room tonight?" She asked softly.

Luna nodded, "of course." she said. "Do you need to pick up some clothes from your room?" Luna was a bit too tall for her clothes to fit Ebony well. She glanced down at the petite woman. "Are you sure you're going to be alright?" she asked. She could understand why Ebony was upset, and she was sure Constantin had only made the situation worse. She wondered if he'd be home yet. "How many hours is it until sunrise?"Luna asked suddenly.

Ebony nodded. The two of them trudged (well, Ebony did) out to the street, and then pulled up a cab. The ride back to the hotel was no where near as exciting as the ride to the park. When they arrived back, Ebony paused in the lobby. "Hey Luna... There will still be a lot of blood in the bathroom from... well this morning". She took a deep breath. "Do you think I can use your bathroom or something?" She asked... and then sleep there for the night. Ebony was too afraid to ask.

Luna had been sitting, running her fingers through the fountain's water and hoping she wouldn't have to go break up a fight between Constantin and Ebony. Soon, she saw the woman coming through the trees. She didn't even have to ask. Luna just nodded, pulling on her shoes as well. "Constantin left already?" she asked Ebony carefully. He'd probably gone somewhere to mope. The two walked out of the park. It was a pity, Luna thought. It had been a very nice night before that.
Constantin had returned to the hotel. He climbed up the stairs,going into his room and slamming the door behind him. Why was he so upset about the words of a stupid young woman? He didn't care for her at all. Constantin kicked off his shoes and flopped down on the bed, cursing under his breath the whole time.

Ebony rolled her eyes. She wouldn't take it anymore, she thomped through the clearing and then made her way back to Luna. "No, I have no been crying" She said before Luna could ask, or even say anything. Ebony took a deep breath. "Are you ready to go home?" She asked, walking over to her shoes and strapping them back on.

Constantin's fingers clenched as Ebony spoke to him. "You know nothing" he hissed,"You're nothing but some foolish child!" He watched Ebony walk away. Her last comment shut him up for a few moments. "I don't need any damn friends" he answered back to her in Latin, before he knelt down, grabbed hold of Justin's body and vanished.
In a large forest miles away, Constantin dumped Justin's body. It wouldn't be found for at least a few days, and by that time the animals would have gotten to it. Still seething with rage from Ebony's comments, Constantin turned and started walking back towards the road.

Ebony tensed, and she slowly rose with her back to the vampire. "Constantin..." She began, and then turned to meet his face. "You are not worth my time, you do not have a right right to tell me who's worth my time, and you are just some damned vampire with out two slices of intelligence to set alight!" She then crouched back on the ground and began to stroke back Justin's hair for few minutes. She then took his ID, tore out the photo and shoved it into her bra, then wiped her face. "Do what you want with him then" She mumbled, then muttered something along the lines of; "And to think I was starting to like you" in Latin, before wandering off into the darker parts of the park.

Constantin stepped aside to let her pass, but watched Ebony as she knelt down next to him. "Of course I'm going to do something with his body." he said flatly. "If I left it here, people would get suspicious. What the hell are you doing?" he asked, as she started digging in his pockets. "He's just a damned human!" Constantin snapped, starting to get irrationally angry. "It doesn't matter whether I eat him, or someone else" Constantin folded his arms and glared down at the woman. "Get up, he's not worth your time." Why was she acting so utterly illogical? He was just some human, and yet Ebony was acting as if Constantin had killed her family member.

Ebony hated how he patronized her. Her face burned as more tears began to roll down her face. "I'm not completely ignorant, I know what you are, I know what you eat! But there are plenty of people out here tonight! Just because I started talking to this man!" She wiped the back of her hand over her cheeks. "That was not an invitation of you to eat him for dinner!" Ebony wandered over to the body and knelt down next to him. "We.. we have to do something with him. I've met him. I've spoken to him..." She began to rummage through his pockets until she found his security badge. "Justin... his name is Justin" She said, and suddenly glared up at the vampire. "He wasn't yours to just... eat up because you felt like it!"

Constantin wiped his lips as he heard footsteps behind him. He met the woman's eyes, and, for a moment, was taken aback. It was that same expression he'd seen a million times; disgust, perhaps even hatred. Constantin really shouldn't have been surprised that Ebony would react that way. He shouldn't care, after all she was just some stranger. But Constantin knew only one way to react, and that was anger. "Yes, didn't you know?" he asked sharply, "It is my species, after all." She was acting so damn.. human!
